An Earnest Plea to Supporters of This President

(A house divided cannot stand)

MAGA is here to stay. We will have more MAGA Presidents in your lifetime.

Your voting power has been proven.

Your concerns have been broadcast.

You’ve brought your voice to the stage, in a real and undeniable way. And you will continue to affect the policy and law in this country in the immediate future and beyond.

As for today and tomorrow and the rest of 2026, hear this earnest plea:

Let’s let Vance take over. Please. He’ll have three years to show us all what he’s got.

Enough is enough.

Ask yourself if the following statements are true:

THE PRESIDENCY IS NOT A GAME.

THE PRESIDENCY IS A SERIOUS POSITION.

THE PRESIDENT MUST BE A SERIOUS PERSON.

THE PRESIDENT MUST BE A REASONABLE PERSON.

THE PRESIDENT MUST PUT THE COUNTRY BEFORE THEMSELF.

THE PRESIDENT MUST RESPECT AMERICANS WHO DID NOT VOTE FOR THEM.

THE PRESIDENT MUST HAVE STRONG LEADERSHIP QUALITIES.

We’ve given Trump five years in charge. He’s not up to this job.

His policies often work against each other, his officials are often embroiled in controversy, and he uses insulting language instead of disagreeing with substance.

Put otherwise, he’s demonstrated a self-contradictory political philosophy, a tendency to appoint leaders with demonstrated ethical inadequacy, and a refusal to engage in constructive debate.

Remember 2016. Really think back and remember that time in your life.

You voted for something then. It was a movement with a vision.

Ask yourself – is this what I voted for?

Did things in politics and society feel this tense then? Or did they feel less tense?

Is he uniting us?

Is he moving us FORWARD?!

Most of you describe yourselves as conservatives, which suggests that you believe society should take heed before changing laws, norms, traditions, etc., to prevent political whims from destroying America’s bedrock values.

But you can’t deny that time advances.

Technology forces progress.

Populations change.

People change.

People grow up.

People die.

The word “conservative” does not mean “resist all progress” or “stay where we are forever” or “undo progress already made”. Such a political philosophy would be rendered absurd by the simple fact of time.

Support his impeachment. Your party will still be in charge. Tell your Representatives and Senators that you voted for this President, but you now support his impeachment.

You don’t owe Donald Trump anything.
