Bill Gates, the Epstein files, and wild speculation (for the fun of it)

(What follows is not an assertion about what happened, but an exploration of why certain speculative narratives feel psychologically compelling in a world where elite power is opaque.)

On July 18, 2013, Jeffrey Epstein wrote a memo to himself, seemingly memorializing the end of his relationship with Bill Gates.

It was never sent to anyone else.

It states that Bill Gates caught an STD that is treated with antibiotics (e.g. gonorrhea) and asked Epstein to procure a treatment for him that Gates could administer to his then-wife, Melinda, without her knowledge.

Big, if true.

They've asked Melinda but...ahem....

IF THEY WERE SUCCESSFUL, SHE WOULDN'T KNOW ABOUT IT, WOULD SHE?!

If a figure at that level of wealth and insulation were capable of something like that, it’s easy to see how the imagination begins to run far ahead of the evidence.

It must now be said that of course Epstein can't be trusted. A person that morally bankrupt is obviously going to lie a lot. We know he did.

Was Jeffrey Epstein nefarious and brazen enough to fake-draft an email only so that he could build the blackmail file he needed to save his own hide when he inevitably got arrested again?

Yes.

But if Jeffrey Epstein did that, then WHY IN GOD'S NAME WOULD HE KILL HIMSELF? What do you think he was depressed because he was blindsided by the fact he got arrested?

(This is the point where narrative psychology takes over: when faced with a powerful, coherent story, the mind instinctively rejects randomness in favor of agency.)

HE KNEW THIS DAY WOULD COME! HIS ENTIRE LIFE AT THIS POINT WAS A SERIES OF FELONIES! HE WAS READY FOR IT! SO HE COULD MAKE A DEAL WITH PROSECUTORS, GET GUARANTEED IMMUNITY, AND HAND THEM 20+ WORLD-SHATTERING NAMES TO PROSECUTE AND THEREBY EVER-SO-IRONICALLY PURGE SOCIETY OF A LOT OF ITS ILLS!

(Wait.... Was Jeffrey Epstein a great American patriot? *shakes head* ok re-centering now. Back to the task at hand)

He spent YEARS building up blackmail, secretly recording all his friends, famous and not, whom he was escorting to Sodom. His primary goal in life once he got caught in 2008 and barely made it out alive was:

keep having sex with whomever I want

and keep staying rich and relevant by pimping for the rich and relevant.

Only this time, I'm going to plan for the apocalypse. Because I got pretty lucky last time.

So if this email/memo proves to be fabricated by Epstein, I suspect foul play.

If this email/memo proves to be conveying a truth... I still suspect foul play.

Because we are talking about the richest men alive.

If it wasn't Bill Gates, it's possible it was somebody akin to Bill Gates.

Some other multi-billionaire.

Whose name you already know.

Who's in your mind right now?

Anybody who was at the White House on January 20, 2025?

Because I don't know about you, but I'm thinking about some dudes who've never even been mentioned in the same breath as Epstein before. Time to open our minds to new possibilities here, clearly.

The sheer size of their wealth is hard to fathom. Great illustrations that demonstrate the incredible dimensions of the wealth of multi-billionaires exist all over. Like how many Lamborghinis could he buy if he bought one every day in perpetuity, etc.

With wealth, smarts, and effectively ENDLESS GOODWILL IN THE ZEITGEIST like some of these men, it would be laughable, absurd even, to say that:

they couldn't cover up a crime;

they couldn't order a hit;

they couldn't have anything like a "commando force" or "espionage ring" at their disposal;

they couldn't bribe politicians;

they couldn't launder their money;

they couldn't show us their left hand and sign their name behind their back with their right;

OR THEY COULDN'T GET DONALD TRUMP ELECTED AND NONE OF US KNEW ABOUT IT. THIS WHOLE TIME.

Meaning Pizzagate could have been a red herring. So absurd and ridiculous. And meaning maybe they made us all take for granted that Gates was a bleeding heart liberal (not saying "sorry" to QANON - it would be a vehicle, not a pilot, and it wasn't exactly "on the right track" on the whole - heck, it may have been a plant - hide the truth among a field of weeds of obvious lies).

When, perhaps, they were looking out for numero uno. And perhaps they sold their country, nay, the world, to save their own asses from being revealed to have committed acts that would permanently destroy their reputations and freedom.

Whoa.
