THE STATES CAN CALL A CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION

They never have.

yet.

the following advocates for a particular consideration in (hopefully) near-future Constitutional amendments: better, broader consideration.

(at least at first) TO STRAIGHT, MARRIED MEN:

Would you ever tell your wife that you don't care what she thinks about important topics?

(I would not recommend doing that).

So why haven't we held a SECOND CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION since we brought women and non-whites into the participate-in-our-democracy fold?

The Great, Remarkably Smart Men we call the Founders of the Founding and the Fathers of the Constitution were not a collection of all the smartest people in America.

Rather, they were a collection of most of the smartest white men in America.

...

That. Ain't. Everybody.

Two heads are better than one.

Two voices reach Truth better than one.

Until this^ happens,

Women

and Black people

(in particular)

and everyone else I don't have time to mention here, but who matter just as much (don't act like I don't believe that lol),

will continue to not have been permitted to make their mark on our society, government and country, commensurate to white men.

I think we should listen to the collective conscience and intellect of America.

The democratic framework is here: they wrote it down at the first convention about this. At the end of the 1700s. A really long time ago.

Let's review here - how can Constitutional amendments begin to be officially considered?

(and that's all we're talking about here - talking about it, not necessarily doing it - that's productive too!)

Answer: it would take some emails, phone calls, and/or meetings to happen.

option 1:

LITERALLY ANY ONE REPUBLICAN SENATOR OR CONGRESSPERSON (or Democrat when you next have majority in either chamber) can propose this. Then, historically, a joint resolution is filed by BOTH the Senate and the House, and discussions and negotiations and THE AMENDMENT PROCESS begins.

I don't trust Mike Johnson, John Thune, or anyone else in Trump's Stinky D.C. Swamp to stick their neck out. Ever.

This ain't gonna happen any time this year.

option 2:

34/50 STATE LEGISLATURES CALL A CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION.

REVIEW THE WHOLE. DAMN. THING.

DEMOCRATICALLY.

This circumvents our frozen, broken, gridlocked, goofed-up, corrupted, Trumpified federal government. And leaves it up to WE THE PEOPLE.

THIS IS NOT TREASON, OR A COUP, OR ANYTHING LIKE IT.
