"The System Is Broken" Is A Cop-Out
A lot of things seem broken. I’ll give you that.
But are they fixable?
What’s more likely?
The only system of government the United States has had is going to disintegrate and we will soon be writing a new Constitution?
Or
We will make progress as a country within the current Constitutional framework that already exists?
Remember: this isn't Italy or France.
You can say that that limits are being stretched.
You can say that that safety nets are being taken down.
But the system has not completely collapsed.
There is a slang word these days: “blackpilled.”
Definition of “blackpilled” from slang.net:
Pessimistic about the future
Someone who is blackpilled is extremely pessimistic about their life, society, and the future. This term is an offshoot of redpilled and bluepilled.
Like redpilled people, blackpilled people believe they understand the true state of life and society. This "understanding" leads blackpilled people to believe that a) there is no place for them in society and b) this problem is unsolvable.
As a result, blackpilled people may be nihilistic and pessimistic and usually have no qualms about saying so. In some cases, blackpilled people's negative worldview can inspire them to take extreme actions, including harming themselves or others.
We haven’t all been blackpilled.
And if you’re blackpilled, drink some syrup of Ipecac and throw up for God’s sake.
Come back to us.
We’re still here.
Let’s get to work together.
